About London Makeup Artist Blush

London Makeup Artist Blush

Founder – Makeup Artist Jo Reid, Director and Makeup Artist, is the founder of blush. Having studied at the Central St. Martins School of Art, she then trained as a make-up artist at the London College of Fashion from 1997-2000.

Since graduating she has worked extensively in the fashion and music industry.

Blush was launched by Jo in 2001 to develop her concept of providing reasonably-priced make-up lessons and makeovers, using the most suitable products from any number of high end make-up brands chosen by the individual make-up artist. By not selling, using or endorsing any particular make-up, blush ensures that there is no pressure to use products other than by the results they give, and gives the artists greater flexibility.

All blush make up kits contain premium brand products from Chanel, Lancome, Mac, Nars, Bobbi Brown YSL, Chantecaille and Screenface to name a few. Skin care used by all artists is Avene, to ensure there are no adverse reactions.

Rich in Avene thermal spring water to soothe and soften, all Eau Thermale Avene products are formulated with Avene thermal spring water and are hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. Blush also offers facials using Envrion which is a growing brand with a celebrity cult following. See our prices lists for more information.

As far as we know, blush is the first make-up consultancy to travel to the client, whether in the comfort of their own home or in the office. Company Magazine featured blush, describing it as a “..novel way to pamper yourself in your own home.” Since that time, LondonTown.com, – the number one website for London information – has given blush a permanent feature on the site as a “Unique London Style Experience”.

Weddings have become a speciality for London Makeup Artist blush, with the Sub Editor of Vogue Magazine giving her recommendation after having Jo as her make-up artist at her own wedding. Jo’s reputation as a make-up artist with a talent for creating a flawless, natural look makes her work perfect for weddings, and has contributed to a great success in this area.
